Research and Administration

My current research interests are in the contribution of travel writing, minority writing and exile writing to German thought and aesthetic practice after 1800, as well as digital culture, and hybrid teaching models. I am currently researching advanced technologies in language learning and am the coordinator of the German language program and Teaching Assistants. I have taught courses in German language, literature, European Studies, German cinema and digital culture.

My administrative experience includes serving as Deputy Director for Deutsches Haus at New York University and as Director of the Deutsche Sommerschule am Pazifik in Oregon.
