Admissions Process: German

Applicants to the graduate program must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university or the equivalent, a GPA of B or higher on the last 60 hours of the undergraduate course of study and an undergraduate major in German or the equivalent. The department reserves the right to evaluate the work presented for admission and to determine how the student may make up for background deficiencies.

Students must apply for admission to the Graduate School as well as to the Department. In some instances the department will be able to pre-pay the admission fee for applicants. In order to determine whether an applicant is eligible for this option, the completed departmental application may be sent directly to the department in advance of application to the Graduate School.The departmental application form is available in Word and in PDF. Both are fill-then-print.

Admissions Process: Russian

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, with a Russian major or minor and a grade point average of B or higher in the last 60 hours of study. Students must complete a minimum of 30 hours of graduate-level courses with a grade point average of B or higher. In addition, students must demonstrate adequate language skills in English and Russian.
